At the Office
At the Office
If you are working at a desk every day, your body is probably already telling you it’s tired of sitting all the time. People with desk jobs often experience pain in their shoulders, neck muscles, back and event headaches. Working at a computer can also damage eyesight. One solution is to take a little break now and then to stretch your legs. AXA presents a specially developed set of exercises with musical accompaniment for those who spend their working days at the office.
Exercise to Tone the Brain
Rhythmically and lightly tap your head, neck and shoulders with your fingertips. Do this to your favourite music or drum out your own rhythm!
This type of massage improves brain activity, helps prevent headaches and is beneficial for the scalp and hair. It relaxes both the neck muscles and the fingers.
The exercise is suitable for people with high self-esteem who are not afraid to draw strange looks from their colleagues.
Exercise for the Inside of the Legs
The best option is to use a small inflatable ball. Put the ball between your knees and repeatedly press your legs together until your muscles grow tired.
If you don’t have a ball, be creative and use another suitable object that you can find around the office.
If anything, you can use your own hands for resistance.
This exercise is also perfect for relieving moments of anger. Time yourself to see how long you need to be able to speak politely again!
Exercise for the Chest
This exercise will help men obtain a more masculine torso, but will help women obtain more feminine curves.
Sit in a chair with your back straight. Position your arms around the armrests so your elbows and palms are on the outer surface.
Press your elbows toward each other, at the same pulling the armrests to your body with your hands. Hold this position for a few seconds. Repeat 20 times.
Be careful not to break the chair! You wouldn’t want to cause any damages to your employer’s property!
