The women’s floorball team “FK Ķekava/AXA” is enjoying great success this season and currently stands in second place in the women’s top division. The players from Ķekava recently made headlines by defeating the six-time Latvian champions “Rubene”. The goal of “FK Ķekava/AXA” this season is to fight for a medal, possibly even gold. more

AXA Begins Cooperation with Cycling Team Rietumu – Delfin


    Along with the beginning of the 2011 cycling season, AXA is beginning cooperation with the only professional and the most titled cycling team in Latvia – Rietumu – Delfin.

    The team was established in 2002 and has since gradually developed by selecting and recruiting the most talented Latvian cyclists. The team consists of 11 cyclists – nine men and two women. In 2011, the team will take part in road and mountain bike competitions both in Latvia and abroad; a total of 50 starts have been scheduled. The Rietumu – Delfin team is the basic selection for the Latvian national men’s U-23 team in road cycling, as well as for the Latvian national women’s team in mountain bike cycling. The team includes the 2009 European marathon champion, Allan Oras from Estonia, and several-time Latvian champion in cross and marathon Ivanda Eiduka. In turn, such former cyclists of Rietumu – Delfin as Aleksejs Saramotins and Toms Skujiņš have become world-class professionals.

    The cooperation between the Rietumu – Delfin team and AXA is scheduled for the entire season, beginning with the pre-season training camps in Spain and the first competitions in France and Belgium. AXA will ensure that the cyclists, for whom a sufficient amount of energy is extremely important during the long and exhausting trainings, will provided with it in the best possible way – with delicious AXA porridge, AXA muesli and carbohydrate-rich snacks such as AXA Active & Fit muesli bars.
